Alice Kanevsky, DMD & William G Lannan DDS

Hi! I am Dr. Alice Kanevsky, but most people call me Alice or Dr. K.

I grew up on the East Coast but Santa Barbara is home. We love the people, weather, amazing farmers markets, and active outdoor lifestyle. If I’m not in the office, you can find me hiking up the Jesusita trail to Inspiration Point, relaxing at Hendry’s beach, or cooking at home for friends and family.

I look forward to getting to know you!

My passion for dentistry is a product of my upbringing. My physicist father and pianist mother instilled a love for science, art, and helping others. These three passions form the pillars of my dental philosophy. Each of my patients receives personal care based on their individual oral healthcare goals and expectations. We use state of the art medical technology and laboratories to provide dental care that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Our primary goal is for you to keep your teeth for a lifetime.

I practice cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics, clear aligner orthodontics, prosthodontics, and implant surgery. I am an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Spear Study Clubs. I am constantly studying and collaborating with other dentists and specialists to ensure that my skills are current and provide the highest rate of success.

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Doctor of Dental Medicine with clinical honors. I practiced for several years in Los Angeles, California where I was a chief resident with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and an associate dentist in private practice.

 

Kimberly Franklin, RDH

I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I started working for Dr. Lannan and our wonderful staff more than 19 years ago – when my daughter Tori was born. Now Tori is all grown up and works with us part time while finishing her degree!

I am a mother of four: three girls and one boy. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love the Gym and spending time outdoors waterskiing and enjoying the water.

I am from Long Beach, lived in San Francisco and London, and relocated to Carpinteria in 2002. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist with a Bachelors of Science, and have worked for Dr. Lannan and Dr. Kanevsky more than 15 years!

I have two adult sons. I love walking on the beach every morning, reading, and playing tennis. I am active on the tennis team at Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club. I travel at every opportunity!

Dr. William G. Lannan (retired)

Dr. Lannan began his career at 2780 State Street, Suite 10 in 1972 and worked there until he retired in 2017. He was president of the local dental society, an examiner for the California Board of Dental examiners licensing examination, and remains the Chairman of the Cornelia Moore Dental foundation.

Tooth Restorations

Tooth fractures, decay, or trauma can compromise the integrity of teeth and lead to tooth loss. We offer treatments to restore the integrity of your natural teeth. We offer fillings, crowns, and composite bonding that match your natural tooth color.

Cosmetic Dentistry

We offer an array of cosmetic services to improve your smile from tooth whitening, shaping, and replacement. We use the latest prescription strength whitening methods and educate our patients regarding over the counter whitening solutions. We repair chipped, broken, or misshaped teeth with aesthetic bonding. We expose more of your natural teeth from your gum line. We cover up discolored, worn, chipped, or irregularly shaped teeth with veneers.

Clear Aligner Orthodontics

Root Canal Therapy

Tooth decay and infection can cause tremendous discomfort when they occur inside the tooth near the nerves. We offer root canal therapy to remove the damaged tissue, relieve discomfort, and preserve your natural tooth.

Oral Surgery

Sometimes teeth need to be removed due to trauma, decay, or severe infection. We  remove these non-restorable teeth and prepare your mouth for tooth replacement.

Tooth Replacement

We offer surgical tooth replacement services including bone grafting, ridge preservation, sinus lift, and implant placement. We also offer non-surgical tooth replacement in the form of dentures, bridges, and partials.
